Drop-off And Pick-up
Drop-off: 9:00am – 9:30am
- Drop-off is located in the Will Rogers Beach parking lot. Entrance at PCH/Temescal Cyn., 15900 Pacific Coast Highway, Pacific Palisades, 90272.
- You will need a parking pass for drop off & pick up. A Sandy Days team member will be at the parking kiosk Monday mornings from 8:45 am – 9:30 am to hand out parking passes. Please place it on your dashboard. Once you enter the lot, make a u-turn and head south to our bright yellow cabanas and welcome table. You will need to park in a spot and sign your camper/s in.
- If you arrive later or need an additional pass/es please let the parking attendant know you are coming to Sandy Days and we will provide you with an extra pass. (parking passes are not to be used for anything other than pick up or drop off at Sandy Days.)
- Monday mornings can take longer as all campers need to be signed in for the first time as well as get sized for their rash guards. Please be patient on the first morning. You do not need to arrive right at 9:00 am to drop off. You can come anytime between 9:00 – 9:30 am.
- All campers must arrive wearing their bathing suits and rash guard. (Monday morning, all new campers will get their camp rash guard).
Pick-up: 3:00pm – 3:30pm
- Please pick up your child/ren no later than 3:30pm. Campers are not allowed to be picked up without being signed out. We will not release a camper/s to a person/s not listed as an authorized pick up.
- If you need to pick up your camper early, we appreciate as much notice as possible. You can let us know at morning drop-off or text the onsite director during the day. Please note that we are unable to accommodate early pick-ups between 2:45–3:00 PM, as this is an important transition time when campers are changing out of wet clothes, gathering their belongings and projects, and preparing for end-of-day dismissal
Extended Care: 3:30pm – 4:30pm
- We are happy to offer extended care again as an add-on. Campers must be picked up no later than 4:30 pm for extended care. Campers need to be signed up in advance. If you need to add extended care for the day please check with us when signing your camper in and we will do our best to accommodate that request but we cannot guarantee it.
- Please note that our bright yellow Sandy Days cabanas are fully broken down and packed into our vans by approximately 3:45 PM each day. If you are picking up during Extended Care, please head directly to Tower 10 to locate our staff and campers.
- If you have an emergency please text Sina Monjazeb, 310-569-1274, to let him know you are running late.
Transportation
Sandy Days Kids Camp offers an optional transportation program to support families who would like a safe, reliable way for their child to get to and from camp.
Transportation is provided by a licensed school transportation partner and supported by Sandy Days staff whenever possible. All vehicles meet California DMV and CHP safety standards and are equipped with seat belts. Sandy Days staff help create a calm, welcoming environment so the camp day begins the moment your child steps on the bus.
Transportation routes operate on a fixed schedule with pre-established pick-up and drop-off locations. Families select their preferred stop during enrollment. While occasional traffic delays can occur, clear communication and consistent procedures help ensure a smooth experience for campers and families alike.
Transportation is an optional add-on service and space is limited.
Safety Guidelines
Ocean Safety
Sandy Days is located between two lifeguard towers, and all ocean activities occur during scheduled hours with counselors in the water at all times. Activities are age-appropriate and closely supervised, with directors overseeing safety protocols from the shore.
Experienced & Trained Staff
We maintain a 1:6 counselor-to-camper ratio, ensuring close supervision and personalized attention. Our counselors are experienced professionals, including teachers, coaches, and nannies, and complete required training and ongoing education.
Clear Identification & Boundaries
Counselors and campers wear high-visibility rash guards for easy identification. Designated beach areas and daily perimeter reviews help ensure campers stay within safe boundaries.
Supervised Bathroom Breaks
All bathroom visits are fully supervised, with counselors escorting campers to and from the restroom and remaining nearby at all times.
Health & Safety Standards
Sandy Days follows all California, Los Angeles County, and American Camp Association guidelines, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care without compromising the camp experience.
