Q: What is Adventure Camp?
A: It’s a brand-new program for summer 2025 that takes Sandy Days kids (ages 8–14) off the beach and into the hills, parks, and cultural gems of LA! We’re running it for 4 weeks in July as a pilot program to see how families like it.
Q: What kinds of activities will kids do?
A: Daily adventures could include:
Leo Carrillo Tide Pools & Malibu Lagoon & Tide Pool exploration
Hikes in the local trails around the Santa Monica Mountains
Cultural tours in Olvera Street and Little Tokyo
Eco-discovery at Ballona Wetlands
Santa Monica Mountains hike in Sycamore Canyon
Griffith Park walk and Observatory tour
Visits to the Natural History Museum or California Science Center
The Discovery Cube Los Angeles
Q: What are the hours and location?
A: 9:00 AM drop-off and 3:00 PM pickup at Clover Park parking lot in Santa Monica.
Q: Who leads the program?
A: Our trusted Sandy Days staff — the same amazing team that keeps kids safe and engaged at beach camp. Small group ratios and full CPR/first aid certification ensure safety and fun.
Q: Do we need to pack anything?
A: Just a lunch, a refillable water bottle, and weather-appropriate clothes! We’ll handle everything else.
